Looking for it at YouTube? You can’t find it. Seriously.

YouTube has been very strict with the rules. A lot of similar videos has been removed due to copyright infringement by UEFA.

Alternative to petrol, use NGV

Feel that the price hike of RM0.78 is too high? Then you should consider to use NGV.

Petronas-ngv-logo

A lot of friends already converted to NGV. All from the same office. Some models are:

Proton Iswara
Proton Waja
Proton Saga (Old model, 1980s)
Toyota Avanza
Naza Ria
Naza Citra
Nissan Sentra
Peugeot (forgot what model)

I wish to convert it too by visiting an authorized NGV installer.

Lenovo Malaysia – Lenovo Thinkpad R61 with Microsoft Windows Vista Sucks!

Thinkpad-r61

I’m a big fan of Thinkpad, but not it’s operating system.

Can you imagine that by only copying a folder to another folder, Vista took an approximate of 1GB memory consumption? And when Vista hangs, there’s no indication that it really hangs because the mouse pointer still moving. I’m pretty mad on the so-called ‘built from scratch’ OS.

I decided to change the current Windows Vista to Windows XP using a Recovery CD. Now, I’m typing this blog with the Windows XP installed with no hassle. If you’re having similar problem, this is a nice read which specifically explain on how to downgrade.

Have a Microsoft Windows Vista Business or Microsoft Windows Ultimate system, but need to continue using Microsoft Windows XP for a while? For a limited time Lenovo is providing Windows XP Recovery CD media as a way to downgrade from Windows Vista. Lenovo customers that have Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Ultimate “qualified systems” may purchase a Windows XP Recovery CD until January 31, 2009. Fees may vary. Please contact your local Support Center for additional details.

Notes:

  • “Qualified systems” are Lenovo notebook and desktop systems purchased with a Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Ultimate preloaded operating system.
  • There will be a limit of one Windows XP Recovery CD set per customer, per serial number for each system series with preloaded software, including Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Ultimate.

Rest assured, Windows XP is still my best friend.

P/S: Still remembered that Lenovo Malaysia spelt Intel Pentium as “Intel Pentuim”. I tried to look after that spelling mistakes but it seems that they have corrected it.

WAG200G – Linksys Wireless-G ADSL Home Gateway

Linksys-wag200g

This is an ADSL2+ Modem, Internet-sharing Router, 4-Port Switch and Wireless-G Access Point in one box.

Yes, that means I don’t have to use separate Aztech modem for Streamyx dialing and WRT54G v5 for the routing purposes.

I’m still thinking should I consider upgrading to WAG200G from my old WRT54G v5 which having a firmware problem lately?

I will rather play look-and-see first. As for the last firmware upgrade to 1.02.5, it’s shows a stability which is good for me.

I’ll keep on monitoring this.

Jack of all trades, master of none

Which one is better?

1. Being a Jack that knows everything, but with a very limited knowledge?

2. Or being another Jack that knows his things in deep knowledge, in expert mode?

People tends to agree whichever situation that they’re in that bandwagon.

I was in the number 1. Yesterday, I have a nice intellectual conversation with people who were in the situation 2. He said that that’s good to know a lot of things. We may need it in future, which reflects all action that’s unpredictable, thus requires you to know in every aspect.

In my opinion, it’s good to be number 1, if you’ve achieved the number 2.
