I’ve got myself a Blackberry 8320 from Maxis KLCC

Amazed on how do I get myself a Blackberry Curve 8320 instead of 8310 and/or 8300? Last time, I still can’t decide which model to buy, but that day must be my lucky day.
Go browse Maxis Blackberry website. Surprisingly, you wont find Blackberry 8320 in there.
Luckily, I came to Maxis KLCC. Initially, the salesgirl brought a Blackberry 8310 for me. While she keyed in the details and to receive payment, she asked the other girl in front on her regarding the Blackberry 8310.
Her friends shouted, “Why do you give him Blackberry 8310. Go for Blackberry 8320. It’s the same price anyway”.
Lucky me. The BB 8320 comes with Wifi unlike BB 8310 and BB 8300.
Brought back home and play around with it. Need to connect to my Linksys dd-wrt router to the new BB 8320.
First of all, I need to register the Blackberry on the wireless.
- On the Home screen, click Options, or click Settings > Options. Note: The location of the Options screen depends on the BlackBerry Device Software and theme you are running on your device.
- Complete the step associated with the software version you are running:
- If you are running BlackBerry Device Software 4.1 or later, click Advanced Options > Host Routing Table.
- If you are running BlackBerry Device Software 3.7.1 to 4.0.2, click Host Routing Table.
- If you are running BlackBerry Device Software 3.0 to 3.7, click Network.
- If you are running BlackBerry Device Software 2.0 to 2.7, click Network Settings.
Note: Some users running BlackBerry Device Software 3.7.1 might find the Register Now option on the Network screen menu.
- Display the menu and click Register Now. Your BlackBerry device connects to the wireless network.
To register a RIM 850 device, RIM 857 device, RIM 950 device, or RIM 957 device on the Mobitex or DataTac networks, complete the following steps:
- On the Home screen, click Options.
- Click Network Settings.
- Verify that the Roaming field is set to the appropriate country.
- Verify that the Radio field is set to On.
- Click the trackwheel and select Register Now.
- Click the trackwheel and select Save Options. Your RIM device connects to the wireless network. Once it is registered, the RIM device will display Active in the Status field.
The rest is history. I start to configure and install a lot of stuff.

Hi there
Since u must be an avid user of the BB, I was wondering if u could help me with the MMS settings for my phone. The ppl from Maxis says it has been activated, but I can’t seem to send out or receive any. Hope you can share with me the settings if u don’t mind.
Thanks.
Have a nice day.
Wow, great blog. Really like the relevance and up-to-date nature of your blog.
Was just google-ing BLACKBERRY CURVE MMS FOR MAXIS and found your blog!
Please could you advise me how I can set up to receive/send MMS’s via my Berry Curve? I called up Maxis, they said it is activated, but I can’t seem to ‘do it’!
Thanks
