HP to Acquire EDS for $13.9 Billion vs Microsoft-Yahoo!

May 13, 2008 — HP today announced that it has signed a definitive merger agreement to purchase EDS at a price of $25.00 per share, or an enterprise value of approximately $13.9 billion.

Several friends of mine working in these two companies. Mostly on the enterprise side such as networking, servers and storage.
IT has become so fragile and we don’t know what will happen in the future. Lay-offs for sure.
That’s the similarities with Yahoo! staff. Being taken over with Microsoft only creates uncertainties.
