I Need a Mentor - Cradle Request a Mentor Identification
It’s more than a month now after the briefing session at Jalan Binjai. Not a request, but isn’t it nice to get a mentor from Silicon Valley, like somebody from Google, LinkedIn or Facebook?
But boy, it’s not that easy. I guess that I have to get myself a mentor from Malaysia. I have to personally contact whoever so-called ‘senior’ in Malaysia with a lot of experience in the Web 2.0 world.
Below is the item I have to provide in within a week ++ :

Mentors Full name :
IC No :
Email address :
Contact Number :
Did Silicon Valley or San Francisco people have an IC number? Oh, they use different identification. : )
Quick, who wants to be my mentor, raise you hands now! Limited seat available.
Haha.
P/S: Read above that I told you about I have delayed it for a month since briefing. Have you checked out when I went for that interview?
Famous People: Lim Kit Siang on Facebook
Who don’t recognize the DAP leader Lim Kit Siang? He’s now on Facebook. Go check his profile and become his friend. Ah, I’m not a politician and not an opposition. But amazed how Facebook managed to lure big names and famous celebrities into it.
Oh, government. Please don’t put me into ISA. I promise not to talk anything bad. I’ll talk sweet everytime. Let me alone with my own world.
Who else do you know (celebs, singers, artists, politicians) , now in Facebook?
Microsoft Advertising ala Facebook Style - Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions
Not long ago, Microsoft developed Microsoft adCenter to compete with Google Adsense. But ever since, no updated news. Has the project been scrapped? Oh, not. The hyperlink still works.
: )
While there’s a lot of speculation of Microsoft will buy Facebook for $6 billion valuation, drastically Microsoft has made a very strategic move. They bought $240 million for 1.6 percent of the company.
Upon this agreement, Microsoft now able to open a new advertisement channel. Commercially named, Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions.

Now I know where’s those big long banner on the left hand side coming from. Can’t find the option in Facebook Ads.

Accidentally I found this Microsoft Facebook advertising page from Google.
MySpace Slingshot Labs vs Facebook fbFund
And the real social war has begun.
Career: Facebook Consultant, Facebook Specialist, Facebook Developer
There’s a big, cool, high-paying job out there, which are product based like SAP Consultant, EMC Storage Consultant, Cisco Network Specialist, Symantec Consultant (just to name a few, but exactly I just named it non-formally).
: )
But somehow, there’s no such thing as Facebook Consultant or Facebook Specialist ever exist. So far, only Jesse Stay claimed himself as a Facebook Consultant and a Facebook Developer.
Looking at the footer of Google Grand Central Facebook Apps, there it shows © 2007 Stay N’ Alive Productions. Great move, Jesse Stay!
Soon, I’ll be joining you.
Ok, back to topic.

Ubuntu 7.10 on VMWare 6.00 - Loading Linux Kernel at 45%

After Blackberry, Facebook Now Partner with Nokia
Facebook on Blackberry is addictive. It shown that hundred thousand users has installed it and remains active.
Now, it’s Nokia’s turn. Techcrunch also reported.
Quoted from Moconews:
Nokia and Facebook are working on porting the social network on to Nokia handsets in a major way, we have learned. The Facebook placement could be as prominent as the YouTube button on the main screen of iPhone, our sources indicate. Also, the deal involves giving Facebook a major slot within Nokia retail products’ displays.
So, what’s the future direction of Facebook? Is it going to flourish ever?
Too bad I’m using Sony Ericsson k850i.
Facebook is Better than Email?
Email is dead. Really? Whatever it is, what Marcus said makes sense. Go read his blog.
Whenever we meet someone (nowadays), we may asked that are you in Facebook?
Surprisingly, you could also see your boss or manager is also in Facebook without even being friends with them. MySpace is different, even though it still leads. Try Facebook and you’ll know it.
Long lost friend could easily being connected via Facebook. Not only you can recall back the memories, you could also track and follow his/her activities whenever there’s an updates. Read it on your News Feed.
While privacy is still a concern in Facebook, peer activities is automatic shown in News Feed whether you like it or not. I think that it’s cool.
