Feel tired of Streamyx on the inconsistencies? But TM runs their promotion wildly on each medium. You name it, TV, newspapers, magazines etc.
Did you read Sunday newspaper dated 16/9/07? Maxis has start ragingly advertised their Maxis Broadband service. They took one whole page with color.
And the funny thing is:
1. They aggressively promote Maxis Broadband after Celcom started it out with Celcom Broadband with a RM68 price tag. Initially, it’s Maxis that launch their broadband early this year, but lacks of promotion.
2. It’s not that cheap. Refer to my earlier posting.
Why one earth MCMC didn’t give out the 3G license to Digi? Only because of it’s a Swedish company? Backed by Telenor?
I believe that if Digi got that license, both Maxis and Celcom have to follow Digi’s marketing style. Give consumer best option.
In this Web 2.0 age, people just don’t follow mainstream news. Especially for the product luncheon and product review by any company.
People prefer to read from a blog, with a blogger perspective and overview.

i’m staying at bandar baru bangi. Can anybody comment about my intention to use maxis bb. how to check..
i’ve been using maxisbb, and seems the connection has satisfy my needs. i have both streamyx 1mb and maxisbb, and never regret taking maxisbb, eventhough i am tied with 18 months contract.
just, be ready when DiGi launch their 3G this year. their edge is so reliable, much stable than the other 2 telco, so I hope DiGi can actually provide better 3G soon.
TERMINATE MAXIS BROADBAND SERVICE
If you are just unlucky like us who signed up the Maxis Broadband under Maxis trap and suffer from the slow speed. Your area might not coverage by their broadband service.
Maxis Broadband termination steps…
If you are in between 7 days of your purchase,
(1) Go directly to Maxis Center for service termination w/o penalty.
(2) Drop a complains email to MCMC and put e-complains on NCCC.

I dont know malaysia complain channel will really work or not. But no harm to try and get back our registation fees as well. As we are really being cheated by such a big company.
If you are after 7 days of purchase, write a complain letter and cc to MCMC ask for termination of the service without penalty. I dont know this will work or not, but better than do nothing and continue paying $$$ and suffer for the slow connecting speed.
