Earlier this month after 7 days of Facebooking at home, Maxis warns that we have maxed our 3G, What? just after 7 days and we have overpaid our subscription months in advanced. Just been there today, they confirmed exceeded but no details given.

My DiGi- emails, facebooking, some huge files downloads and so far no problem for 2 months. No Complaints.

Compared to the two (same RM68 package), I would advice maxis BB is a huge CON job!!! Dont ever get it.

I’m going to burn the Maxis mobile modem and flush its ashes down the river.

I agree with some of the comments that if you want to use internet at home only, use streamyx, wired. It is very very stable, maybe at times speed a bit slow (peak hours) but download, upload and play video eg fm youtube is excellent. And if you are always on move maybe,,maybe,,maybe then you need to have a wireless bb, but not 100% reliable ok.

This is because i just tried maxis bb yesterday. I decided to try maxis bb because of the small modem, wireless and just plug and play. Konon2 tak nak wire la, sbb presently i use streamyx, with wire sana sini. so in one nite i found that Maxis bb :-
1) sometimes it is easily disconnected when you are not using it (you go to bathroom or do something else)
2) Youtube – tersekat sekat, boleh buat sakit hati and jiwa.
3) Speed just like streamyx. NOt that fast pun.

I have not tried at other places with this Maxis bb. Will update you later. But now, i am grateful that I have not decided to disconnect streamyx. If Maxis bb gives me problem in near future, i will have not doubt to terminate it and stay with Streamyx.
